How I Saved $150 this week

It has been a whole week since I made a decision to make a few simple daily spending changes I have managed to save an additional $150.

Psst…If this is your first time at my blog please read this post first.

Proposed changes

  • Don’t buy cigarettes
  • Don’t buy energy drinks
  • Don’t eat out

I used to indulge in these wasteful habits on a regular basis.

I followed all my new commitments on Monday and again today.

I was not perfect this week and actually messed up pretty badly a few days.

I am happy with my progress so far and looking forward to continuing with my new spending habits. I have enjoyed cooking and eating healthy home cooked meals and even got to eat out with my father and brothers on Sunday.

I am thinking of more ways to cut out the waste in my life. One idea i have considered is cutting off my cable but I am enjoying watching the NHL Stanley cup playoffs too much right now.

I have been trying to focus on my personal development and have been thinking about what my goals in life are. Today I started listening to an audiobook program by Jim Rohn called The Day That Turns Your Life Around. I have enjoyed listening on my way to and from work today and have already listened to the first two cds. Jim Rohn is a great story teller and explains ideas in a simple and inspiring way.
