Investing update

On Friday (May 11th) I sold 25 more shares of Unit on price strength. I am still trying to reduce the % of portfolio income from UNIT as currently largest tenant WIN not performing well.

The reason UNIT became such a large percentage of my income is that when the stock price went down I purchased many more shares. At one point UNIT represented over 20% of my portfolios expected income. It is currently at slightly under 12.3%

My UNIT trade history
  • 07/17/17 buy 30 shares @$25.72
  • 08/03/17 buy 35 shares @$23.08
  • 08/10/17 buy 40 shares @$20.81
  • 08/15/17 buy 40 shares @$18.15
  • 09/26/17 buy 30 shares @$16.22
  • 09/26/17 buy 35 shares @$15.74
  • 09/27/17 buy 30 shares @$15.00
  • 10/13/17 $144 dividend +9.44 more shares @$15.25
  • 12/22/17 sell 31.18 shares @$17.82
  • 01/02/18 sell 25 shares @$17.66
  • 01/12/18 $130.96 dividend +7.81 more shares @ $16.77
  • 04/13/18 $120.65 dividend +7.38 more shares @ $16.35
  • 04/27/18 sell 20 shares @$17.57
  • 04/27/18 sell 20 shares @$17.27
  • 05/11/18 sell 25 shares @$20.75
I am considering selling more but matching UNIT’s dividend income yield is difficult. Anything with that high of a payout comes with its own risk.
I am still thinking where to reinvest the cash from my most recent sale. More likely than not will be ECC.
If I add a little cash I could buy 30 more shares of ECC.
