Credit Card Debt Tracking-Week Three

Last sunday I shared how a large unexpected expense for my dog brought my total credit card debt up to $11,552. The good news is that my dog is doing well. The bad news is that my wife and I had to use our credit cards to cover another expense.

Psst…If this is your first time at my blog please read this post first.

My current credit card debt now sits at a staggering $11,992. And again is even higher than when I started tracking my debt here.

My income from job has been declining due to having a slightly different pay plan than before and due to becoming almost painfully slow this past month. This unfortunately is not something new but something that has been progressively getting worse over the past year.

I am starting to wonder if I should really look for a different job because of this. I am hesitant to leave a job I love and that has been able cover my families expenses while my wife was out of work the past few years. It is the highest paying job I have ever had.

At the same time, it is not motivating to know that working the same hours and putting forth the same effort is yielding less and less money since I started working there. My job is not close to where I live and I am not earning the amount of money I want anymore.

My wife started working again last week and I am excited that we might be able to turn around our finances again. I am hoping that things improve for me at my own job and we can really start making a dent on this mountain of debt.
